I´ve seen many of your comments all around ET and you are a trouble maker and love to stir things up.

You are welcome to participate but i wont accept this kind of comments here. I´m sorry your feelings were hurt at some point, and only you know what is going on with whatever you say is the crap here on ET, but this is not the place to drop random thoughts about what is that upsets you.

There are no rules about using outside stock in my contest, if someone else like a MODERATOR wishes to close this contest he can be my guest and do so because the only intention here is to have fun, and all the fun we can actually create by submitting supportive comments and have fun wont be disturbed anymore by your bitterness. Perhaps you can create a Wiki and make some statements about what is the crap on ET and we can happily have a dialogue and share our opinions if you invite us. Respect is the key for a community to work and you do not seem to help with this. what ever problem you have, go comment it with a moderator or inspector and perhaps you can find a solution for your or ET´s problems and crap.


There are ways to say or ask things and the only thing you will get with these kind of messages will be harsh answers and comments, so why would you like to be remembered as a trouble maker or a not-so-fun person here on this community?

I´m a very open person and many of us here too, and i don´t see how you can expect people to value art or beauty the same way you do. Kamisch and artemis felt something nice when they saw that piece, it has as much value as any other piece of art.

Moira, your God is not on MY list of Gods, and since this is MY contest, YOUR God can participate on other contests, but not this one. i wont change the whole list and add a God i cannot find more info about. I´m not sorry either.

Can I use a photo of that Green Man for the contest even though the ornament isn't something I made? I took the photo meself and plan to do a manip but I wanted to check and make sure it was ok. =)

I know he is the God of Skiing and some say agriculture but other wont agree, he was a snow God and a hunter because of his bow, and that´s all i find repeated all over the net, but i don´t see him representing fertility, nature, magic, the underworld and reincarnation.... if someone finds me real info or believable info that states he is all i say he is not, i might add him because that would be fair and the right thing to do, specially if someone requested it.

2008-09-06 [Linn Scarlett]: He was a bastard son of Thor and some giantess (insert random one), I believe a frost giantess. Eitherho, lovingly Frig took him in anyway and he became the god of winter. That is about everything my mytho-norse-encylopedia says about him. Which is little indeed but supposedly there probably isn't anything more than him. He's obscure, along with other kiddos of Thor. There was a little bit of him found archaeologically I believe, which is more than most gods have ;)

If you like the pose because of something in particular try to take a shot of someone in a similar position but do not copy! be an artist! find out better ways to create something nice. Other people would have just banned you, but i really want you to understand that it is lame to take credit from other artists, that is just low but we all can correct errors and some behaviours. So what interests me here is not to make you feel bad and bring it up each time i can, what i want is people to change that habit! because no one will ever become a good artist or a good person by clinging to someone else´s efforts you see?  When someone is mistaken, there is still something they can do to fix it, and i don´t care if you fix it for this contest, do it for yourself! let art wrap you completely! let it flow through you and do not copy anything even though it is the most super cool piece of art you have seen.


I do copy sometimes, but i keep it for myself, i do it because i want to learn a specific trace or light source .... many things but again, just for myself. Now go and draw something good or i will kick the end of your back to another world!

2008-09-10 [Kuruni]: Yuriona, i have almost a 60% of those works progress in photos or clips, and if you ever ever ever feel suspicious i will show them to you, there´s nothing to hide.


I try to keep record of a manips progress too and usually have before and after images and something in between, because people have asked me before.

I have make a great effort to develop as an artist and photographer and i have corrected several errors i have been making for years, but i do not wish to keep the same linework or style because i get bored too easily.  I am happy i can create different pieces of art and that i can test myself and my skills through the years.





I hope i will be able to create a Wiki with step by step art and tutorials on several branches of arts from ink, to pencil, from watercolor to oil and from digital manips to digital from scratch. But i can start next year, this year has been hectic!



And Pandaaaaaaa thank you for participating!! the piece is very nice and thanks for coming back.

It was something different, and a bit of a challenge, trying to decide how to make it without losing the Mayan aspects of it. I mean...I wouldn't want to make him look like a Greek god, it just wouldn't be the same. Very interesting contest :) Very interesting list of gods.

2008-09-20 [Kuruni]: Even Catholics and Christians believes that at the very end if we did what we had to do we will go to a better place, and if we did things wrong in a very extensive context we will have to learn or be punished or whatever. There are different ways to say things and i sense that Christianity and the Catholic Church wishes us to learn on the first attempt of living, like an intensive school instead of many summer
lessons :)


at the end it´s all the same for me. Same quantity of effort to try to be like Jesus in one life or try to be like him on different lives, because at the end you might feel just as exhausted as the other. No disrespect here alright? i love to use ma brains.
And i view Jesus as the perfect Human Being, the top of what we can achieve as creatures and spiritually. All the hurt, all the experiences leads us towards this state and it might take us looooooooooooooong and many lives to achieve this. But yes, we all can enjoy life and slowly detach from all material things and our ego and accept everyone as just one entity. I love the idea.... So, i´m not Christian but i do not deny what Jesus represents. A Gate to a a better place. 

I wonder what other people thinks of this.

2008-09-21 [Yuriona]: <- is Catholic. ^__^ For me, Jesus is the Son of God who was born on earth, a being given a human experience. According to the Bible, God made man in his own image and for me that means that we are in fact beings of energy who are experiencing life as a human for a time before continuing on to other experiences and life times. =) Like Jesus, we must learn to let go of material things for in order to continue on, we have to leave material things behind including our bodies.

God, heaven, etc. brings people alot of comfort and stuff which is good if they need it, but i prefer not to think that my entire life on earth is just a giant test for the next life. anyway, different religions are interesting to learn about :)

What I think is this: the world and all of life is made of energy, and Jesus was a being that could control all of this energy. I also think every human can control some of this energy, some more then others..
I don't know about the rest though.
I'm still trying to form an opinion about this all, while searching and reading stuff..

And actually...what I believe is kind of a mix of the last 3 :) To me, Jesus was a part of history, a prophet, but a mortal man through and through - no more a son of god than the rest of us are. But he was wise and had a good message of love and respect for the human race. And how did he become so wise? He was an old soul by that point. One of the only ones to make it through as many levels of life as it takes to be as wise as he was - a great philosopher. The only place to go from there is back into the spiritual realm, what I've since come to learn might be akin to the Hindu idea of moksha (I learned that my idea was not original only recently, when I learned about Hindu beliefs in my modern Indian history class a few years ago). So it's just a blending of ideas, which I thought were my own, but as I learn more about other religions I've found are actually ideas that have been in the world for centuries...millenia...forever lol. I love finding out about all the differences, and similarities. I majored in religious history in college so I could get absorbed in it all. Facinating.


...and to think I was raised Catholic ;)

2008-09-21 [nehirwen]: I do wear a bracelet with the letters 'g.o.l.f' which stands for 'God offers love (and) forgiveness'.
It meant a lot to me in a certain period of my life, I didn't doubt it back then (or just needed it).
I keep wearing it as some reminder, even I don't see God as an actual father anymore. :)
I do think there is some truth about it, still. Don't know how though.

2008-09-21 [Yuriona]: Energy cannot be destroyed and our physical bodies depend on electrical energy - nerve impulses, etc. So when the physical container dies, what happens to that conscious energy? No one knows. Perhaps you are right and it merely disperses throughout a larger energy to be reformed into another life - and no, I don't mean human or even earthly for that matter. Or perhaps that energy maintains itself as a separate entity of energy that moves from physical form to physical form to experience many different lives. *shrugs* The universe is vast and the possibilities infinite... truth is no one will know what comes after this life until this life is over.

For me God is a being beyond our comprehension, a creator of all those infinite possibilities. I have no doubts that He cares for each and every one of us but I also believe that in giving us freedom of thought and imagination, He entrusted this place, these lives to us. If He is a loving Father, He is one that is busy with other work and though He does touch our lives in different ways to offer guidance we are essentially on our own.

Jesus is a being like God since he is the Son but unlike God, He has a unique perspective as like us, He was mortal for a time. He brought God's Word to us but He knows what it means to be human. It was He who ensured that our Father did not completely give up on us and turn His heart to other things. That is a part of what I believe anyways but I think that's enough for now. ;) LOL!

Actually I saw a sign outside a church around here that made me giggle. It read "You question God? He made those brain cells you think with!" or something like that. ^^

2008-09-21 [Kuruni]: I love all the things you are writing here and particularly that no one is being offensive with other posters, i love that there can be respect between us.


I think that God had the perfect idea to separate into the most infinitely small particles with an awareness that still amazes me. just the fact that we are but a blink for the entire universe and we can even think about all this and imagine something beyond gives me the shivers.

We have a great capacity to communicate with each other and let others know what there is on this side of the planet, you communicate with me your feelings, your points of view and i do the same and we all learn from each other. A few things hits us straight in the soul and we find the best road at the moment and as we roam through fields or forests or cities unknown we find strangers and pick up different roads with more surprises and people willing to help you out or make you miserable, but even misery works wonders on humans, testing us, defining our position on life and making us more humble and stronger. I think that people who make evil is in fact helping other people even for cruel as it sounds.

I´m not saying that doing evil is good! if you are aware of what you are doing it is a shame indeed, but if we were happy all the time, how would we know we are? How could we really enjoy happiness if we do not know there is something different? I think we are all the same energy separated in different vessels. I mean, if you pick up a drop of the ocean and put it inside a flask, does it stop being a part of the ocean? 

I see ourselves like driving a car, the car gets old, broken, it needs adjustments and care, after a while you have to get off that car, that car who took you to so many places, good and bad, but does it means you are the car? did the car experience all those things or was it you inside it? when the car is broken you just get another one, it might take a while but you can even go and chose wich one you want or need at the moment to achieve or go to certain places through certain roads.

I also see ourselves as heading for the same...lets say isle. Some of us walk, others run, others take trains, airplanes, bicycles, motor boats, jets, some of us crashes and have accidents and have to start all over again, some of us give up and have to walk back all the road to start again and try again harder, some of us even hitch hike....from different locations, but at the end it does not matter what bus or path you chose to reach the isle, what matters is the travel and where we are heading to and how can we help others reach the place safely if we can.

I believe God is exploring himself. I mean, if i had such power as an individual i would love to  see everything from each point of view and experience everything i have created. And i have the same concept as Kamisch said, that Jesus is a very old wise, pure soul, the closest to God and that by a final effort to love everyone and accept everyone and forgive everyone he reached the point of becoming one with the energy source we all came from.

Don´t know why but i read all the posts and somehow i agree with all of you, i no longer say to myself i do not like this or that, i just absorb everything and make my own conclusions.
